What’s Your Food Story? Real Life Stories of Culinary Adventures
Today has been a long time in the making. It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce the publication of our first eBook.
What’s Your Food Story? Real Life Stories of Culinary Adventures is available through Amazon at a very special introductory price for all my foodie friends.
From the introduction of the book …
Food has fascinated me for most of my life. Many times, food is the vehicle used for expressing feelings to loved ones and friends: making that special dinner for anniversaries, fancy cakes for birthdays, fun food for potlucks at work, cookie swaps around the holidays, and even when mourning the passing of someone we often feel compelled to make something from the heart to provide to the family. The relationship that we have with food is complex and never-ending.
What is a Food Story?
Food Stories are true culinary adventures in a short story format along with accompanying images and recipes. These are original stories that can easily transport you to another place and time along with possibly recalling significant events in your own life. I love a great Food Story that gives me goose bumps, makes me laugh, makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside or inspires me to be better.
Although, work is in progress for a larger collection, great care has gone into the acquisition and selection of these Food Stories. My goal is to cover the breadth and depth of human emotions and to display in words how food affects our lives. I do hope you enjoy this small collection of food stories and that they whet your appetite for more.
Stories included in this first edition …
- Just Die Already: A Funny Kitchen Nightmare
- Finally Learning to Love Food: A Recipe for My Grandmother
- Lukee and the Bowtie Pasta
- Dad’s Purse Puffs
- Dirt Cookies
- Som Tam
- Angelo’s Roasted Rosemary Potatoes
- Adobo: An antidote for Alzheimer’s
- Oh My, It’s Still Frozen
- Memorable Mutton Briyani
- Adventures with the Caesar Salad Man
As I previously mentioned, Food Stories are true culinary adventures in a short story format along with accompanying images and recipes; therefore, all eleven stories come with original recipes and pictures. These stories made me laugh, some made me cry and others just reminded me of precious time with family. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed putting them together for you.
