Monday Muster and Hotel Breakfast

Happy National Glazed Spiral Ham Day

Glazed Spiral Ham

Usually Monday Muster is a wrap up from the week before with highlights of what’s been going on with the blog, what I’ve been reading, pinning, crazy kitchen adventures and coupons/savings stuff; however, we’ll be taking a different path for a while. For those of you that might not know, I recently took a new job and I’ve moved to northern California so I am currently living in chaos in a hotel. It’s an incredible career opportunity and I’m so thrilled to be back in the Bay area; however, the hubs is still in southern California, packing up the house.

Healthcare administration is a 24/7 job so I needed to get here as soon as possible which is why I’m in a hotel. I’ll be looking for a house and when I’m successful then the hubby and kitties will follow. Because of this incredibly exciting and chaotic time, the blog has to take second place while everything stabilizes. In the meantime, I’ll try to keep a few things going but it may be a little slow going.  I’ll try to keep it as related to food as I can so I thought I might show you how things are going while I’m living the dream :-)

I have this crazy habit of photographing every hotel I stay in. It’s weird, I know … but here it is …

That was before I dragged all my stuff in. Then we had …

Now, it’s not that bad now … I’ve had a chance to unpack about 50% of my stuff but I have a ways to go before I get comfortable. Also, I can’t remember if I’ve ever mentioned my coffee addiction and snobbery before but I’m pretty particular about my cup of joe. Therefore, it was critical that I get my own coffee machine and coffee while I’m here, even though the hotel does provide. Truly, if I don’t enjoy my coffee then the day just doesn’t go well so it’s just the way it is. Notice the Keurig above? It’s not the fancy schmancy super-automatic espresso machine from the house but it makes a decent cup of coffee. In fact, I’ll probably take it to the office after I get into a house.

Hotel Breakfast

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Oatmeal, Apple, Muffin

This is a quick pic of the breakfast options here. Personally, I prefer a protein shake for breakfast (which I brought) but these are perfect in a pinch so I snagged a few and put in the kitchen, just in case. That’s my crazy life … What’s going on with you?

  6. That’s funny that you take pictures of hotel rooms. :) I guess that’s like what I use to do during our camping and backpacking days – taking pictures of the campsite. Looks like you’ve got things set up pretty nicely.
